What to use each channel for

Steam is the contract: date, price, languages, requirements. If this wiki and Steam disagree, Steam wins. Discord is for bug vibes and party energy, not for a sourced spec. YouTube is how you see the pixel weather. X is how you see a three-day countdown. Patreon is how the team talked when the bunker system was still a recap post.

Do not download “scripts” or “codes” for this game. It is a paid Steam RPG. Anyone selling a command list is in the wrong genre. This wiki’s tools are checklists and specs, not cheats.

Press that is useful, not official

Serious writeups appeared in August and September 2026 around the wishlist spike and the date reveal. They are useful for repeating the store skeleton in human language. They are not patch notes. The preview page is our version of that caution.

How this wiki uses links

Internal links stay on-site: Getting Started, Early Access, system requirements. External links in this article are the studio and Steam. We do not hotlink other wikis’ images. Screenshots on this site are stored locally.

If an official URL dies, this page will change. If a fan Discord clone appears, it will not be added just because it is loud. Ten factions is enough politics.

Launch-week hygiene

On 4 September 2026 the noise will be worse than the Mist. Fake keys, fake “scripts”, fake server lists: ignore them. Scavland is a single-player Steam RPG. The only download that matters is the Steam client. If a stranger offers a faster hatch or a free backpack, that is not a tools page, that is a scam.

Use Steam Cloud. Keep a copy of LastUsedSlot.json if you like belt and braces. This wiki will not host save editors.

When a patch lands, the studio will post it on Steam news first. We will mirror the meaning on updates, not the raw marketing adjectives. If you only have time for one official tab, make it the store. If you only have time for one wiki tab after that, make it Getting Started and the beginner checklist.

The Discord invite in Steam metadata is discord.gg/scavland. If that slug ever rotates, the store page is the source, not a screenshot in a comment. YouTube is @scavland. X is @Scavland_. Patreon is /scavland. Those strings are how you tell the real team from a pixel-art clone account.
