Scavland Updates

Dates, scope, and what NoShadow has actually promised.

News and Updates Hub

Scavland is a six-year project from NoShadow, published with UNSUBSCRIBE, entering Steam Early Access on 4 September 2026. This hub is the calendar and the honesty layer. Use Early Access for price, platforms, and Act I contents. Use wishlists for the 175,000 Steam follow spike in early September 2026. Use the roadmap for the 12–24 month plan. Use the preview if you want creator impressions instead of a store bullet list.

This is not a live patch tracker yet. The game has not launched. When patches exist, they will land here. Until then, every “new” system in marketing is a launch system, not a week-one hotfix.

What is locked in public

  • PC Steam only at launch
  • Single-player PvE
  • Early Access date: 4 September 2026
  • Price around $19 USD, 10% off in the first week, regional pricing
  • Act I in the first build; two later acts planned
  • 12–24 months of Early Access estimated
  • Full controller support, Steam Cloud, achievements

If a social post disagrees with Steam, trust Steam. Links collects official channels.

What is still a plan

Act II and Act III, extra regions, more creatures, more factions, more recipes, bunker expansion, optimisation, and a future mode where other people walk the world with you. Plans are not patch notes. The roadmap labels them as plans.

Wishlist counts (NoShadow cited 175,000) are marketing weather. They are not a review score. The wishlists page is the news brief. The preview page treats creator footage as footage.

How to read this wiki after launch

  1. Check this hub for the newest date.
  2. Skim Early Access for what the build contains.
  3. Only then trust a guides page that mentions a number.

Guides on this site were written from store copy, press, and public demos. They will move. Getting Started will take the first punch when the scrapyard changes.

If you are here because a video said the game is out, check the calendar. Until 4 September 2026, it is upcoming. Wishlist, spec-check on system requirements, and pack a starting loadout in your head.

Official trailer sits on the home page. Patch notes, when they exist, will be linked from here, not invented.

How we will date a patch

When a Steam news post has a build number, this hub will get a child page or a section with that date. We will not reset every guide’s “updated” stamp just to look busy. Fingerprints on this site already keep dates honest. If combat did not change, its date will not jump.

If a hotfix only touches localisation or a crash, it may live as a short note on this hub rather than a full essay. Gameplay changes to hunger, jams, bunkers, or faction rank will force a pass on the matching guide.

Until that machinery has something to chew, use Early Access as the live brief, the roadmap as the act structure, and the preview as the sceptic’s reading list. Then go pack the beginner checklist so launch day is a plan, not a panic.
